At the end of the vfx schedule of Chen Kaige's Monk Comes down the Mountain, I was asked to help out on the film's final shot, showing the heroes studying kung fu on a mountain peak throughout the seasons. The shot transitions between day and night, summer and winter, rain and snow. I created a digital cloudscape, referencing Chinese traditional painting, used to illustrate the passing of time and seamlessly connect the montage together.
