, I produced the animated opening title sequence for Leigh Whannell's sci-fi horror film,
Upgrade.
The concept as briefed was to make a ‘type-less title sequence’, with the credits audible as spoken words from the voice of the artificial intelligence that is the central character of the film. The voice is visually represented by audio-reactive waveform filaments that ripple over a landscape, turning it from natural curves to increasingly complex, artificial structures and ending in a dark singularity which foreshadows events in the film.

Post-preliminary design work, I created the opening sequence largely from start to finish, with further design development, procedural modelling and animation, lighting and rendering.
